Just a quick note that there’s a half-hour interview with me on the latest Yog-Sothoth.com podcast. I cover The Necronomicon Files, the Cthulhu Mythos Encyclopedia (which, last I checked, was going to be released this month), and the new book on ghouls, plus assorted other topics, like grimoires and possibly Averoigne. I think I even say something nice about a particular publisher.
There’s also a community patron chat that’s almost as long as the interview, for those interested in grisly details of writing a ghoul book, the insanity that is my Delta Green campaign, and the like.

I just listened to the pod cast yesterday and thought your interview was a lot of fun – with good advice for beginning authors. I’ve been meaning to become a Yog patron so maybe I’ll do that now and check out the other part.
I finally managed to make time to listen to your interview this morning. Very entertaining. You speak well, clearly and articulately. You mention teaching as part of your job so perhaps that helps. (Though I’ve had plenty of teachers who didn’t seem to have public speaking as a skill.) The advice to writers (write!) is useful in all creative fields (paint, draw, sing, kill).
And back to the drawing board. Cheers!

When I told my friend that I was going to school for my MLIS degree his response was, “Sam, you’d take any job you thought would give you a better chance of finding a copy of the Necronomicon.”
