Quite the Day

M. and I left home at 6 AM this morning to head to Westchester County, to examine a recently-rediscovered copy of the Complete Book of Magic Science.  M. wandered around for a while and then returned to help me with some transcription.  We then headed over to Sleepy Hollow, which is not quite so sleepy these days, to see the Old Dutch Burying Ground.   After a brief interlude we headed out for an impromptu Greek dinner, complete with octopus and baklava, with Tom Lynch of Miskatonic River Press and his family, who, we had remembered as we cruised toward the Hudson, lived nearby.  Having said our goodbyes, we came back home, seventeen hours after we left, to check in on Yig, whose grumpy disposition and insistence on sitting on the opposite side of the tank likely signifies another shed in the next week.
